“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.” Matt 13:44
The man in this parable sells everything he has for the value he sees in his find. I can sympathize with this, seemingly, irrational thought. Over the past several months God has revealed to me many things about His will and how I might serve Him best, and NONE of it is not worthy of me selling all that I have to do so.
I know God has called me to New Zealand for my training, and blessed me with vision for that nation: To see the young and old, THOUSANDS, step out into missions. A vision of great awakening amongst the people of Aotearoa to serve their heavenly father in whatever way, no matter how radical or seemingly mundane.
God has given me a passion to create missions documentaries that will inspire and encourage Christians to recklessly abandon the comforts of their daily lives for a greater cause, the will of God, sharing the gospel with all creation. Being the voice of God to those who’ve chosen not to listen. I realize I am not trained to do this and I have not the equipment to accomplish such a feat, yet I have faith. I will step out holding fast to that which God has already spoken to me trusting in his faithfulness.
I will be returning to New Zealand this July to begin an internship at the Oxford base so that I may staff the Backpacker’s Discipleship Training School from October to March. Until then I’ve picked up a job at Dick’s sporting goods to raise money and learn more about what I love. Glory must be given to God in me getting this job by the way… God is SO GOOD and it’s hilarious how perfect this job is for me right now.
